Mission:

The Center for Pre-College Programs will forge a partnership with K-12 teachers, administrators and other stakeholders to enrich and improve K-12 education for all students, especially in science and technology - to help increase the number and diversity of students who are prepared and motivated to enter college to successfully pursue degree programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Goals:

  • Build strong core curriculum in mathematics, science, engineering and business.
  • Promote awareness of STEM professions.
  • Provide academic enrichment and intervention programs.
  • Produce knowledgeable, trained and competent teachers.
  • Access and engagement in technologies.
  • Increase student and teacher knowledge and affiliation with Missouri S&T.
  • Increase the number and diversity of students who eventually enroll at Missouri S&T.

  • Missouri Academy for Youth Advancement (MAYA) - Grades 8-10
  • Minority Intro to Engineering (MITE)
